Hokudai/Cast

We use calculating words in Word/Play that have come to us from ancient Babylon and we learn how to say these words in English, Japanese, and Chinese in our Trilingual Lesson (after a long hiatus). We have two songs today from podsafeaudio.com: J. Marie Anderson's Elephant Romp and Haegers Bend's Jam for Jimi.

Cat-O-Nine Tails provides us with "Kaleidoscope" (a word ending with ~scope - see Hokudai/Cast 106) and Word/Play gives us both 'constellation' and 'antibiotics.' We learn to say "Is there a grocery store near here?' in Chinese and Japanese and listen to Three Interviews with Hokuriku University students.
