Tue, 29 January 2008 Hokudai/Cast 47 is about reading (newspapers, manga, and novels) and Word/Play. Word/Play has 'audio,' 'phile,' and 'biblio.' And a little Spanish thrown in for seasoning. We have a song by Seattle Standard Cafe called 'Kata-machi Baby.' Kata-machi is in the central part of Kanazawa and is famous for its many drinking places and restaurants.
Natrually, many of the words in Word/Play are in Chinese, English, and Japanese.

Mon, 21 January 2008 Hokudai/Cast 46 is about music and snowboarding. Plus Rumiko will sing a duet with herself and we will hear a Kanazawa indies band called Seattle Standard Cafe.
Word/Play is about words that are used with music and we will learn how to say such words as "bassist" in Japanese, English, and Chinese.
